Chronic Inflammation

Chronic inflammation is a major causative factor in practically every illness and it also accelerates the aging process. Hence the term “Inflamm-Aging”. 


It is caused by: 

  • 1. Cellular energy (ATP) depletion 
  • 2.  Oxidative stress (Free radicals).
  • 3. Unhealthy bacteria in your intestines (Dysbiosis) 

These three factors activate NF-kB gene signaling to up-regulate the gene coding for pro-inflammatory substances (IL1,6; TNF, PGE2 and LTB4).


Inflammation begins with an immune response and 75% of your immune system resides in the lining of your intestinal microbiota (the bacteria in your gut mucosal lining). 



 A rotten gut microbiota (Dysbiosis) causes the release of LPS (ENDOTOXIN) - a toxin emitted from the bad bacteria in your gut that excessively stimulates the immune system to increase inflammation (by increasing PGE2 and inflammatory cytokines) via NF-KB. 

Accelerated Aging

It is caused by:

  • 1. Chronic Inflammation (as previously discussed). 
  • 2. The loss of defenses against Aging Pathologies that can cause both an excessive buildup (anabolic) of dysfunctional tissue and an excessive breakdown (catabolic) of tissue structure and function. 
  • 3. Loss of strength and amplitude of the diphasic cycle. Research published in the scientific literature shows that this is the mechanism that fails in accelerated aging.
